Anastacia is the daughter of a wizard and a half-Veela witch. She grew up in a wizarding community within London, England. Her father worked for the Ministry in its International Magical Office of Law and her mother designed wizarding attire that was sold throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. The middle of three children, Anastacia found joy in making friendships with many children her age which carried with her to Hogwarts. In the summers before attending Hogwarts, the kids liked to play a version of Quidditch in which they ran around with regular brooms rather than flying on real ones. They called it field Quidditch. When she wasn't playing with friends, Anastacia took after her mother and enjoyed creating new fashions for others to wear.
School for Anastacia was tough to start, focusing on socializing more than her studies much to the chagrin of her parents. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, though it was evident it was more for her creativity than her wit. Anastacia was smart, but she didn't outwardly show it as many in house did. Her grades in most classes were modest, but always passing. Her best classes was Divination, and she could often be seen with Tarot cards and having tea parties with friends where she practiced her fortune telling.
It is a well known fact that she enjoys having "gatherings" on the weekends at the school. Never anything more than a social gathering with snacks and music, Anastacia's parties are often the topic of discussion among those who attended or wanted to attend. They were typically held in the courtyard near a tree, perhaps better described as a large group picnic than a party. It was a way for Anastacia to get her socializing in when it was frowned upon during classes. Some said that she held the record for the most point deductions for talking during class in a single school year.
During her fifth year, she joined the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as Seeker. Many players on opposing teams took her skill for granted based on her personality. However, the years of playing field Quidditch with her friends and brother really trained her to find the snitch, ending her first match in only fifteen minutes. Once her brother graduated and started playing Quidditch professionally, the pressure was added for Anastacia to be just as good, if not better, than him.
Personality:
If socialites were a thing in school, Anastacia was a walking masterclass on the role. She is extroverted and loves to be around people. Her personality is best described as bubbly and optimistic, perhaps sickeningly so. Some wonder why she wasn't put into a different house because of her ways of being the center of attention and lack of focus on her studies. Truthfully, Anastacia would have made better grades on her O.W.L.s if she'd spent a little more time studying, but she opted to go off memory and what little bit she practiced.
Casting spells doesn't come as naturally to Anastacia, which she attributed to her part-Veela blood, which couldn't have been farther from the truth. Her difficulties goes back to her perference for socializing and blatant refusal to practice much. Practice came during class and if her friends wanted to practice and needed a partner. Overall, the bookish life wasn't for her and she fully intended to model for her mother's fashion line after graduating. There wasn't a fashion design class. If there were it would be no mystery as to who sat at the top of the class. Anastacia was there to get through school and leave it behind for good once she graduated.
One major flaw is that Anastacia isn't good with remembering the names of those she's met but doesn't socialize with on a constant basis. She'll get close to the name... perhaps the first letter... and that's about it. She's good with faces and never forgets ones she's met in the past.
Some suspect that her part-Veela blood contributed to her social tendencies, but as far as Anastacia knew, she inherited no special abilities -- only her platinum blonde hair and beauty. If someone had a crush on her, it was purely of their own accord, but she certainly didn't mind the air of mystery surrounding her make up. If anything she leaned into it if it helped her get ahead with her classmates.
