Bio^ Friends:
Selah needs friends, badly. Between work and marriage issues she's stressed and she definitely needs a shoulder to lean on or someone to just lend her an ear, distract her with fun, just anything honestly. While she can be sort of stubborn and bristly (there are reasons she and Dorian got on so well) she'd genuinely a sincere, kind and thoughtful person. She loves doing good things just for the sake of doing them, she never expects anything in return. This often extends to friends and even coworkers alike. And she's always available to the students and families she works with in her profession, recalling what it was like for her as a half-blood she can't even imagine how hard it is for them sometimes as well.

Romantic:
She had her fair share of relationship before Dorian, and for all their issues no one comes close where he's concerned. Selah genuinely loves him and she's terrified at the thought she might lose him, but she's not willing to turn a blind eye to the issues they have anymore. So while it's for sure rocky, the only romantic relationship I see her needing is being with her husband. Also gotta say unless they were flat out abusive or cheated on her, I don't see her having any bad relationships with ex's before Dorian she'd have remained on friendly terms if they chose to as well. Selah has so few bonds it's just not in her to cut someone off because of a silly reason like simply no longer being romantically interested in them.

Enemies:
Oh I'm sure she's got enemies, regardless of how hard she tried to just ghost through her years at Hogwarts she was still a Slytherin and there's a reputation there. Of course as an adult in what might be considered a very unpopular profession to have, she's bound to ruffle a few feathers here or there. Just be sure enemies is what you want, she can give as good as she gets and she has no problems hitting below the belt if it means putting an end to an argument.

Extra Info:
- She despises her Grandmother, Mother, Step-father and half-sibling... hell she doesn't even acknowledge them as family, they don't either so the feeling is very mutual.
-Her affinity for wandless magic kind of came by accident during a fight with Dorian and she's been progressively improving ever since.
-This is the same with her Animagus ability too which is part of the reason she started reaching out to Ilvermorny for some insight on the matter. Given both wandless magic and animagus abilities are well known to be present among the Native American population... which just so happens to be where her birth father supposedly hails from (Want Ad).
-Selah is not at all aware that her Grandfather in a sort of last act of absolution towards her left her the bulk of the Chen family wealth including the family estate. All hell is going to break loose when that is discovered.

Wanted.... Just A Father Making The Most of His Time... Being separated from her husband and losing her grandfather is gonna hit Selah right in her unhealed childhood trauma, sending her down a rabbit hole of trying to find her biological father. It doesn't matter to her what he is or what she's been told he is; she just wants to find him. Surely both her parents can't be completely awful right?

Faceclaim Options:
Rick Mora
Tokala Black Elk
Michael Greyeyes
Billy Worth

Concept:
Far as her mother told her grandparents, he was a muggle so all her life Selah has believed she's a half-blood. But wandless magic wasn't something the Chen's were ever any good at, same with her affinity for animals and her natural leaning into becoming an Animagus.

So what if it came from her father? She's part Native American (Cherokee) after all and they are known to possess magic as well, many have attended Ilvermorny in America. And they are known for their innate wandless magic and animagus abilities.

Given Selah has always had such a rough go of it with her mother and most that side of her family, aside from her beloved grandfather who recently passed away (that's a whole other story) I thought it would be nice for her to eventually find her bio-father. And this could be something good, maybe for both of them. While he doesn't have to be a great guy, he could be decent and if nothing else be thrilled at the idea of having a daughter (even if she'd grown and he missed out on raising her) and excited to get to know her/be part of her life. His time with her mother was just a fling and it would have never occured to him they'd had a child until Selah in fact shows up (or we decided a different approach, whatever is comfortable or works best for the story).
