Thaddeus Egerton

Life is one big game of charades
Plotting: ‘Friendships’
From fellow scions of prominent and powerful families, to less affluent folks who are trying to butter up to him and get into his good graces, Thaddeus has no shortage of ‘friends’. Regardless of their real feelings towards each other, they still hang out quite frequently and play along with their parents’ wishes. Perhaps they’re ambivalent about Thaddeus, or outright dislike him but don’t say it openly. Open to discussions!
Toppling the ivory tower
Plotting: Rivalries and Friendships
Thaddeus has no true friends, and he can’t bring himself to trust others completely when they’re friendly towards him. Ironically, the only people whose intentions he can trust are those who openly declare that they don’t like him or care about his status. Despite any initial aversion they might harbour towards him, Thaddeus still hopes to win them over someday. I’d love for these relationships to develop naturally, and hopefully he would learn to become a better person as well.
The gloves come off
Plotting: Enemies
Thaddeus is no angel, despite what he thinks of himself. He can be very self-righteous and oblivious to how snobbish he comes across to others, and there would most certainly be some who want to take him down a notch. Apart from these people, there are those who bear a grudge against the Egerton family. While the Egertons did not side with the Dark Lord, they still have their fair share of enemies: Pure-blood supremacists who see the Egertons as blood traitors, business rivals, or even other aristocratic bloodlines with age-old feuds with the Egertons. Open to discussions! And while I should not encourage such behaviour, if any of your characters run out of patience dealing with him, please feel free to sock him the way Hermione did to Draco, and hopefully that would help him see the error of his ways.
