Personality: Yuriy was raised in a household where feelings and emotions were kept under wraps. No one was allowed any outburst of anger, despair or even happiness. So for this reason Yuriy is a very even-tempered boy. He keeps in control of his emotions at all times and only lets them out when absolutely necessary. He tries his hardest not to do it around people. It helps that the boy isn't very social and doesn't have a lot of friends or emotions to share. He is a little shy around new people, and even people he has known for a while if he's put in an awkward situation. He isn't good with breaking the rules or trying new things. He doesn't like to hurt people's feelings or make them feel bad about themselves. He always wants to lift people's spirits and make them happy, even if it's at the cost of himself. Yuriy is a kind boy who puts others before himself. He doesn't think that anyone should be unhappy, and so he tries to go out of his way to make the people he cares about happy, or at least comfortable.
Yuriy is very family oriented and is proud to say so. Even if there are some points and opinions that the family doesn't agree on, they accept each other for who they are up to a point. For example, when Yuiry got his piercings and tattoos, his family wasn't very accepting of them. However, after Yuriy explained why he did it, which was because it made him feel like himself, then they accepted it and told him that he had better keep them hidden when at school or at an important meeting. He makes it a point to follow the rules that are set, and never disrespects his elders by talking back. It was hard at first for Yuriy, he was a highly troublesome child at first, but as he grew up his parents made sure he grew up into a respectful gentleman. They would not let him back-talk the people that were 'superior' to him.
Because of the way his parents raised him, he has become a rather submissive boy. He gives in to those around him. Especially if they show any sort of power or control. He follows the rules and laws of everything unless persuaded otherwise by someone else. He finds it hard to make friends because of his submissive nature. It is also very easy to take advantage of Yuriy. He doesn't speak up much and would be considered a soft-spoken sort of guy. Now, just because he is easy to push around, it doesn't mean he is weak. At least not in the physical sense. He considers himself a very physical and active guy. He goes running daily and tries to keep his body in shape. So if he were to ever disagree with someone, or if someone was hurting either his family or his friends, he would feel comfortable protecting them without getting hurt.
Yuriy has many nervous habits. He flirts awkwardly but doesn't know he's doing it. He has a tendency to stutter when talking to pretty girls. At times, he also looks down at his feet. One of those habits is running his hands through his hair, to push it backward or off to the sides. Usually, it's a nervous habit or a way to draw attention away from his face. He also has been smoking since he was about fourteen years old. He stole them from his father at first and hid the fact that he was smoking. His mother doesn't like smoking. When Yuriy is really nervous he stutters and stumbles over his words.

History:
Pre-Yuriy
Dmitry was seventeen when he was told by his mother and father that he was to be married to Viktoryiya. She was still only fourteen years old and would be a few years before the wedding took place. He wasn't, by any means, happy about the marriage. But he knew that arguing with his parents was futile. The girl he was to be married to was too strong-willed, and opinionated and he didn't think that they were a proper match. But his parents weren't looking at her traits. They were only looking at the family's pocketbook. They were much better off than the Belikov's were, rich in fact, it made his father and mother drool at the thought. The higher class meant higher status. Things were finally starting to look up for the Belikov's. Of course, the way Dmitry looked at it.....He was getting the raw end of the deal. He would have to marry an immature woman who wasn't worthy of his time. All because his family needed the status...It wouldn’t matter though, she could be a stay-at-home and take care of the babies while he went off to work for the ministry. He managed to clinch a job at ministry right out of school. It wasn't the position he wanted to stay in by any means, but it was a place to start. He had been aspiring to work in the ministry since he was a young man. Ivan, Dimtry's good friend in Durmstrang, and himself had always planned on getting a job at the ministry. They planned on working their way to the top of the ministry and becoming the minister. Young Dmitry was always power hungry and that didn't change as the man got older either.
Viktoriya found out that she was to marry Dmitry when she was only fourteen years old. Imagine her shock when she was told by her parents that she was to marry a man who was three years older than she was. She hadn't even really met the man, he was three years ahead of her and not even in the same house. But apparently, the two families worked it out and decided that the two children had no choice. Viktoriya was a strong-willed woman, she had told her family that she would marry the man because it was part of tradition. She also told them that no matter how hard the man tried, he wouldn't take her independence or free will away. She wasn't going to be a stay-at-home mom. Her intentions had never been to stay at home and be a dishwasher and a nurse for the children. She was going to go to school to become a healer. Of course, Dmitry objected to this idea thoroughly. But he thought that her goals would change once they got married and have a few babies. Oh how wrong he was.
Dmitry was the kind of man that wanted the status but he didn't want to have to work for it unless it was for the ministry. So he went on letting his wife earn more money as well to add to their status. The easier his life was, the happier he would be. As time progressed and their marriage continued, the love or bond didn't get any stronger. It was still a loveless marriage and Dmitry found it hard to stay faithful to his wife. He wasn't attracted to her and her not to him either. Their marriage was mainly for show and status. So the two made a deal...They would keep up the show, they would pretend to love each other, and go to functions together. Someday they may even have children together. Until that moment came...there wouldn't be a lot, if any, affection shown between the two at home. It was a few years into their marriage and the two had begun to cheat on each other. Neither of them said a word to the other, but being in a loveless marriage, the two of them had to get their affection by some other means.
After several years of Viktoriya attending different kinds of classes and working under various healers, she finally gets her license to practice on her own. She is officially a healer. For the first time in their marriage, Dmitry is proud of his wife and her dedication earns her his respect. He takes her out for a night of celebratory drinks and one thing leads to another. Afterward, they end up back at home and in bed together for only the second time since being married. A few weeks after the incident Viktoriya finds out she is pregnant. She tells Dmitry and he flips out at first before they both calm down and realize it's time to get a bigger house. They invest in a new four-bedroom home in Lipsek Russia. Nine months later, when Viktoriya is twenty-three years old, little Nikolay is brought into the world.
Nikolay grows up to be a good boy. He is very obedient and doesn't really question the rules or defy his parents. He is the son that Dmitry has always wanted and is the apple of his eye. The young man grew up rather quickly but never made a fuss about what he had to do, or what his parents wanted him to do. When he turned three, however, he was informed that he would soon have a baby brother in his life. The boy was slightly confused, he didn't know why he was having a brother or where it was coming from. His parents assured him it wouldn't mean less love or attention. Nikolay was happy with that and welcomed the baby into their lives. The two parents decided on naming him Yuriy.
Childhood
Baby Yuriy was nothing like Nikolay. He was loud, and he hardly ever slept through the night. He cried a lot, was almost always hungry and he craved the attention from his parents. He was a needy baby, not to mention a baby who shied away from a lot of people. He wasn't a particularly curious baby, and he didn't really excel at anything like his older brother did. Now, Nikolay was very curious about the baby, he tried to hold him, pinch his cheeks and even tried to feed him. Viktoyia and Dmitry thought it was the cutest thing in the world. As Yuriy grew up, it was clear to his parents that Yuriy was the polar opposite of Nik. Yuriy wasn't keen on doing what he was told without question. He questioned almost everything, nothing went past the kid without some kind of why, or how. It drove his parents nuts. They weren't used to the kind of defiance that he was giving them so they came down on him harder. He'd ask why and they'd lock him in his room for the day. He would ask how his father would take a belt to his behind. Soon the boy learned to stop asking questions and just start doing things. Now, whether it was the things they asked of him, well that was always the case. He loved his parents, even with the strong hand they used upon him.
He learned to respect the people around him and the people in his family. The year his letter was to come Yuriy was chomping at the bit. He knew that his letter would come, he was after all a member of a well-known family, a pureblood family, so why wouldn't he get in? He would pace back and forth in the living room waiting for it to arrive. He was driving his family nuts. So when it finally did come they all breathed a big sigh of relief. It was official, the young man would be off to Durmstrang the following year. He practically dragged his father to take him shopping. He got the best of everything, no son of a Belikov was going to go with anything less. After their little shopping trip, it was time to say goodbye. Yuriy had no problems with that. He was too excited to be worried about missing his parents. He said goodbye and hopped onto the ship.
At the end of his second year, he couldn't believe how much had changed. This was also the year his brother graduated from Durmstrang. He couldn’t believe the news he was going to get next though. His parents sat him down and told him that his father was offered a Job in the Ministry in the UK. He would have to leave his friends and move to a whole new country, a new school, and learn English. He was not a happy child but he dealt with things in his own way. He wrote some songs, destroyed some stuff outside his home, and cried for a whole day.
His third year was when he started at Hogwarts, he found it difficult to fit in and even though the sorting at sorted him into Ravenclaw because of his inquisitive nature, Yuriy felt it made a wrong choice. He didn’t see himself as that smart and the other students around him made him feel even more ignorant. However, he threw himself into his work, learning the language and trying to fine-tune his studies.
In his fourth year, however, he did make the quidditch team which he was quite thrilled about. It was one of the things he truly felt good about. He felt he was rather decent at it and looked forward to the games and practices.
When it comes to his future, he has no idea what he is going to do after graduation. He is a lost little boy who is still trying to define himself as a human and as a wizard.
