Bishop's relationships can be a bit complicated. He's got a strenuous relationship with his siblings after being gone a long time and after what happened with Tatiana's parents, and his own treatment of Tatiana after he was turned. They've come to understand more than before, but they're not quite trusting of him yet. His uncle tries to give him support as he can.

He feels guilty still for what happened in the past, but he wants to move forward with Tatiana and repair their relationship. He had strong feelings for her then, and they haven't waned. He hopes to be able to finally close that gap that they never closed in their teen years.

He knows the other professors, but it seems Nigel might be about to learn something about him.
