Sean was the oldest child born to Brian and Mary Sheridan on January 22, 1980. The Sheridans weren’t your average pureblood wizarding family. They were Irish Travellers living among a mix of wizarding and muggle Irish Travellers. The travelers know about the wizarding world and are accepting of it. Growing up Sean was homeschooled with his 2 other siblings. He never went to school because his family was never in one place for a long time. Because of this Sean only ever played with his family and other traveller kids. He was wary of settlers because he always heard his parents and other traveller adults talking bad about them.
When Sean was 11 he was accepted into Hogwarts. He was upset about leaving his family at first, but he made a friend with someone on the train to Hogwarts. During the sorting ceremony Sean was sorted into Hufflepuff, but his friend was sorted into Slytherin and wanted nothing to do with a Hufflepuff. This made Sean sad and friendly again, but he quickly found out Hufflepuffs were nice and he quickly made some Hufflepuff friends. During his first year at Hogwarts Sean realized he liked knowing he had a safe place to stay and he didn’t have to worry about being kicked out. Sean liked living the settler life and dreaded going back with the travellers during his breaks. In his second year he joined the Hufflepuff quidditch team as a seeker, quickly discovering his love of quidditch. Seans friends began letting him stay with them on holiday breaks because they saw how it depressed him to go back with the travellers to a place he wasn’t familiar with. It was around this time he began calling Hogwarts his home. Through his school years in Hogwarts he stuck with the Hufflepuffs mainly, and relied on Harry Potter and his friends to save them. Sean did, however, join Dumbledore’s Army when Harry Potter created it. He learned a lot from them and it all came in handy when they all decided to fight to save Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. After Sean graduated from Hogwarts he had several offers from different professional quidditch teams, but he instead took the Hogwarts headmasters offer to become the new flying professor, because he felt like Hogwarts still needed him there.
Personality (1-2 paragraphs):Though when he was younger he had the stigma of being a Traveller kid, but Sean is a Hufflepuff through and through. He is loyal and believes in treating people the way he would want to be treated. He never liked the wrong things his family would do like steal things and scam people. This was one of the reasons he didn’t like going back to his family. They would force him to do these things and it just made him feel dirty. He wanted everyone to like him and not to judge him for what he came from.
Sean loves his job because he loves flying and he enjoys teaching the children how to fly. He also enjoys reffing the quidditch games and he tries to be as fair as he can be (He tries hard not to show favoritism to Hufflepuff). When he’s not working you can find him flying around the grounds.
