History: Colette is not a particularly big fan of talking about her family, family life or her family history. She was born in France, though lost her mother when she was very young and as such, barely remembers her. Her family were pureblood and a very old family, one renowned for their seers though the last one born with the talent before Colette had been her great great grandmother. For the first five years of her education she studied at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. A school which she adored and was for four years an incredible chaser. It was towards the end of her fifth year however, that she received her vision which ended any and all attempts at Quidditch for her. Believing she would die if she took up the broomstick again, Colette hung up her Quidditch robes and never looked back. At Beauxbaton, she possessed many friends, as many there had grown up with her peculiarities. At Hogwarts however, she is rather lacking for friends at this time.

Colette came to Hogwarts as a result of her father's work taking him to England. A famous broomstick designer of some renown and considerable skill, he is an asset to any business hoping to make and market the highest quality broomsticks. However unlike his daughter, who is deeply curious about muggles and muggle born students, he despises them with a passionate fury. Something which causes regularly rows between parent and child whenever she is home for the summer holidays as Colette prefers to stay at school during the other holidays.

A more recent arrival at Hogwarts, though Colette does not show it she still feels as though she is very much the outsider. A feeling which was not helped by the fact her uniform took a week to arrive at school as her father preferred to use the old family tailor back in France. Being the only one in a Beauxbatons' uniform whilst not uncomfortable, left her feeling odd and a tiny bit sad that she had left all of her friends and the familiar comforts of her former school behind. Colette has drawn more than her fair share of attention from the boys at Hogwarts, her cute features and French accent have brought about many of them developing crushes on her. These potential romances have all been ignored by Colette, not because she is uninterested or above such things, but rather due to her being completely unaware of them or their true feelings as she has mistaken this largely for friendship.

Personality: The first thing most notice about Colette other than her still surprisingly thick French accent is how odd she is. Colette comes across as rather quirky, with a dream like disposition and more often than not is lost either inside her own head or in something only she can see. Colette is a seer, having her inner eye wide open to the potential possibilities the future might hold. She is rather sensitive to the sight to the point that it can be quite debilitating to her. Whilst she may be able to see into the future, picking the accurate future is somewhat more of challenge for her. What may be, is completely different from what will be. She best describes it as imagining a lake and on that lake it is raining, each drop creates a ripple, with crosses, merges and twists with other ripples. What she is looking for is the ripple caused by one specific drop. Plus in telling someone the potential for a future, it may well alter it either with it's prevention or successful arrival. She is completely and utterly self confident and lacks any form of self consciousness. Colette is what she is, people will either like her or they won't.

She is very kind, exceedingly polite, intelligent and perceptive to the feelings of others. Colette has a nasty habit of wandering off mid conversation either physically walking away or disappearing into a vision. Any of her friends or even total strangers having the misfortune to consume a cup of tea in her vicinity will soon find her attempting to read the tea leaves. Colette will happily tell others of what she sees if they ask her to, though she does warn that she is not always accurate.

Colette rarely if ever angry, but one guaranteed way to earn her almost eternal ire is by insulting her former school of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. She is very proud of her time there, any student slighting the school within her earshot will soon find themselves facing the rare sight of Colette's fury. Her anger can be swiftly quenched with a quick apology however and she will rapidly calm down. She is far too honest, saying whatever pops into her head with little regard for it's affects on others. Colette is utterly terrified of flying and will go nowhere near a broomstick. This state of affairs in unfortunate as before her phobia, Colette was an incredible chaser at Beauxbaton. However, one day she received a vision of her own death as result of flying, since then the young woman has refused to so much as even touch a broomstick.

She tends to be a difficult person to forge friendships with as she is more often than not lost within her own head or in what may yet be. Colette is a massive fan of music, singing and dancing and is highly skilled in the latter. Despite being from a pureblood family, she has an extreme fascination with muggles and all things about them. This has, at times left whatever unfortunate student foolish enough to admit to being muggle born in her presence, being hounded with questions about what muggles are like and what do the different objects muggles use, actually do.
